Nick is back with one final episode on the US election, featuring some listener feedback on our last two episodes (#146 and #147) on this topic. Jeremy Mendelson @CriticalTransit makes the case for why he is not voting for Clinton and the importance of voting for third parties like the Greens.

There is also some discussion on Trump, class and the urban/rural divide in the US. For more on this, check out Cracked podcast, Jimmy Dore and Chomsky on the impact of NAFTA (Trump opposes this free trade agreement).

*Despite the title of the above video (and the photoshopped hat!), Moore is NOT voting for Trump!

The episode also features a new segment ‘Angela Davis ALWAYS Makes Sense’.

There has also been yet another horrible new policy by the Australian government towards asylum seekers. For more on this, like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter @ProgPodcast – Katie has been posting a lot about this on there.

This episode features politics professor Jason Brownlee on the US election. This is a continuation of our discussion with Jason from episode 146. This time we discuss: will Clinton’s policies move to the left as a result of the popularity of Sanders? Or is she just pandering (or Sandering :p)? Clinton versus Trump on abortion rights; gender bias against Clinton; the importance of alternative ideas from minor parties; third party candidates and dividing the progressive vote; problems with the US electoral system; and anarchism and voting.

We also discuss the fallout from the (likely) Trump loss and this episode of BBC radio, where you can hear Trump supporters make some bizarre claims.

This episode features politics professor Jason Brownlee on the US election. He discusses: how Trump is getting away with claiming he is challenging the elites; the dangers of a Trump presidency; Trump is not less imperialist than Clinton, despite his claims about rejecting the Iraq invasion; and Trump, Clinton and #BlackLivesMatter. This discussion continues on episode 147.

Also mentioned throughout the episode is: Nick’s article on two-party dominance in Australia, Ward Churchill on police repression in the US and the documentary Herman’s House.
