Palmer has this election in the bag but we thought we’d put out this episode anyway.
You can listen to this episode above and subscribe to our podcast on iTunes. You can also listen to this episode on Stitcher, Cyber Ears or download it on Archive.org (74mins, 62MB).
We’re joined by Nick’s cousin Emil Raji and we discuss the upcoming Australian federal election and how we’ll be voting. We also discuss the Left-shift within the Labor party (compared to the Rudd/Gillard governments), the Centrist-shift by the Greens, the declining popularity of neoliberalism, so many scandals in this election, the biggest lies of the election, Nick’s changing views on the Animal Justice Party, and we very briefly touch on anarchism and voting thanks to the Aotearoa Anarchist Review – if you’d like to hear more on this topic, check out episode 137.
See below for how Nick is voting (for now – we welcome any feedback – please contact us with any suggested changes). Note that this is not how Katie or Emil are voting.

See an article by Richard Denniss making the case for numbering the boxes beyond just 6. Also see this Guardian article which gives a brief overview of all of the “micro-parties” in the Senate. This Facebook post also does a similar thing with a post-it note explanation of each of the parties.
The first six are in bold and the parties with a * next to their number indicate that I have changed the order since we recorded the episode. Please contact us if you have any suggested changes and I’m open to making further changes.
